We strongly recommend that chimneys are cleaned at
least twice a year for bitumous coal and smokeless fuels, two to
three times a year for wood and once a year for gas or oil.
Whatever fuel you use by having your chimney swept regularly by Phil's
Chimney Sweep you will minimise the risk of a chimney fire, and you
will help ensure that the chimney flue is clear of blockages to maintain the
safe removal of harmful gasses such as carbon monoxide and sulphur
